    • Newspaper Obituary - March 1, 1939 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell - Alonzo Hilton passed away February 23, 1939, after a long illness. He was born in Orwell September 21, 1855, son of Richard and Betsey Bass Hilton and his entire life was passed in this town. He was united in marriage with Miss Julia Wood of Richland, January 29, 1879. He is survived by his widow, three sons, Ernest, Arthur and Archie, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The funeral was held in his late home Sunday, February 24 with the Rev. W. S. Dobbie of Sandy Creek officiating. Burail was made in Evergreen cemetery.
