- Newspaper Obituary - Monday, March 1, 1993 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Helen L. Harrington, Pulaski, Dies At Age 61 - Helen L. Harrington, 61, of 7505 Salina St., died Sunday at Oswego Hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Spring burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulaski Fire Department Building Fund or to the Northern Oswego County Ambulance, Pulaski. Surviving are five sons, Michael J. Porter, Maple View, Dennis W. Dunbar, Cicero, James D. Harrington, Parish, Timothy H. Harrington, Syracuse, and Tracey M. Harrington, Maple View; three daughters, Barbara J. Shaw, Pulaski, Kim Sue Harrington, Parish, and Kimberly Butchino, Maple View; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Joanne Bortles, Phoenix. Born in Pulaski, February 18, 1932, a daughter of George and Susan Piddock Moore, she attended Pulaski Academy and married Edwin H. Porter. Mr. Porter died in 1952. She later married James IIarrington, who died in 1984. Mrs. Harrington was employed by Syracuse China Corp. for 30 years, retiring in July 1992. She had lived in Maple View for 23 years before moving to Pulaski seven months ago. She had also lived in Fernwood for many years. She was a member of the Pulaski Monday Night Women's Bowling League and the Pathfinders 600 Club bowling league.
