- Newspaper Obituary - April 29, 2000 Watertown Daily Times - SCOTT D. PETRIE CARPENTER, MARINE CORPS VET - Scott D. Petrie, 37, Main Street, died Thursday at his home of apparent heart problems. Mr. Petrie, a member of Carpenters Union Local 278, Watertown, was employed by Newcomb Builders and Richardson Construction, both in Pulaski. He previously was a mate with Fishhawk Charter Service, Pulaski. Born April 2, 1963, in Oswego, son of Paul D. and Joann C. Littler Petrie, he was a 1981 graduate of Phoenix High School and served in the Marine Corps from 1981 to 1984, seeing duty in Okinawa and Korea. A marriage to Katina Hamm ended in separation. Mr. Petrie previously lived in Pulaski, Oswego and Phoenix. Surviving are a daughter, Kimberly Petrie, Oswego; his mother and his stepfather, Joann and Bud Dawley, Fulton; his father and his stepmother, Paul and Sherry Petrie, Pulaski; three sisters, Traci Fitch, Farmington, Lori Dawley Phoenix, and Jennifer Schlag, Syracuse, and nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
