- January 12, 1905 ~ Georgette E. Weed, age 49 years, 10 months, Married, Housewife, born in New York, Resident of Richland Township for 45 years, Daughter of George Sampson born in New York, and Harriet M. Sweet, Died in Pulaski of apoplexy.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 18, 1905 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Georgetta, wife of V. B. Weed, died at her home on Port Street, Thursday evening, after a short illness. She had a severe cold and from that suffered paralysis of the brain. Mrs. Weed's maiden name was Sampson and formerly resided in Sandy Creek, coming to this village about five years ago. She was fifty years of age and a woman who was loved and esteemed by all. She was a member of J. B. Butler W. R. C. At the time of her death her husband was in Virginia and only her daughter, Miss Jennie, the only child, was at home. Her funeral was held Monday at one o'clock, Rev. B. D. Snyder officiating. The choir from the M. E. Church sang two selections. Many of the ladies of the W. R. C. attended in a body. Many beautiful floral tributes were in evidence and a large number of friends from the village and from away were present to pay their last respect to the departed.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 25, 1905 Pulaski Democrat - In addition to the facts published in our last issue in regard to the death of Mrs. Georgette Sampson, wife of V. B. Weed, which occurred January 12, we have obtained the following: Mrs. Weed was born in Pulaski March 12, 1854, and was therefore fifty-one years and ten months of age. She was the daughter of George and Harriet J. Sampson. Besides her husband and daughter, Jennie, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. H. W. Williams of York, Pennsylvania., Mrs. W. E. Demero of Lacona, Miss Flora Philbrick, of Pulaski and one brother, Frank Sampson of Pender, Nebraska.
