Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday November 1, 1910 Oswego Daily Palladium - Oswego, New York - Pulaski, November 1 - William H. Filkins, aged 25 about eighty-seven years, passed away yesterday at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Seymour J. Fox, Centerville road. He had been ill but a few weeks. Mr. Filkins was born in Williamstown, but resided in this town since he was about two years old. He was for many years extensively engaged in farming and later followed boating. The surviving sons and daughters are: L. Deloe Filkins, and Edward L. Filkins, Syracuse; H. Eugene Filkins, Pulaski; Isaac H. Filkins, Hartford, Connecticut; Charles B. Filkins, Phoenix; Mrs. Emily J. Sheridan, New Centerville, Mrs. Seymour J. Fox, Pulaski, and Mrs. B. L. Michel, Oswego.
Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday Evening November 1, 1910 Oswego Daily Palladium - Oswego, New York - Pulaski, November 1 - William H. Filkins, after a short illness, passed away yesterday morning at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Seymour J. Fox, Centerville road. Mr. Filkins was born in Williamstown July 29, 1823, and came to this town with his parents when he was but two years old and had ever since been a resident of the town of Richland. In his younger days he followed farming for many years and later engaged in boating. He is survived by five sons, L. Delos Finch's, and Edward L. Filkins, Syracuse; H. Eugene Filkins of Pulaski; Isaac H. Filkins of Hartford, Connecticut; Charles B. Filkins of Phoenix; and by three daughters, Mrs. Emily L. Sheridan of New Centerville, Mrs. Seymour J. Fox of Pulaski, and Mrs. Bert L. Mickel, Oswego.
