      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, October 25, 1933 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Brother of Pulaskians Dies in Colosse - Edward Lorenzo Filkins, brother of Mrs. Cora A. Fox and Mrs. B. S. Mickle, both of this village, died at his home in Colosse, Friday morning. Mr. Filkins was 88 years of age and had been a prominent farmer in Colosse for several years. Mr. Filkins was a son of the late W. Henry and Alvina Ingersoll Filkins, and was born in the town of Albion January 7, 1845. On March 20, 1867, he married Jennie Bull, who survives him. He is also survived by one son, Ernest of Colosse; two brothers, Charles of Mexico and Isaac of Wilson, Connecticut; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Fox and Mrs. B. S. Mickle of Pulaski and Mrs. Emma Widrig of Gloversville; a granddaughter, Mrs. Clara Backus of Syracuse; three great grandchildren, and an uncle, Oscar Ingersoll of Sandy Creek. Funeral services were conducted at his home in Colosse at 2 o'clock Sunday with Rev. Leitka, pastor of the Fernwood church, officiating. Burial was at Riverside cemetery, Pulaski.
