- November 22, 1933 Pulaski Democrat - Buried Here - The remains of Mrs. Edward L. Filkins, who died at Marcy hospital, Utica, last Thursday, were brought to this village by Undertaker Paul K. Foster, Sunday for burial in the local cemetery.
Saturday, November 18, 1933 Oswego Palladium Times - Pulaski Funerals - Mrs. Edward Filkins - Pulaski, Nov 16. - The funeral of Mrs. Edward L. Filkins, who died in Marcy hospital, Utica, Thursday, will be held in the undertaking parlors of Paul K. Foster at 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon. The Rev. George Leitka, of Fernwood will conduct the services and the body will be placed in the vault of Pulaski cemetery.
November 23, 1933 Mexico independent - News has been received of the death of Mrs. E. Filkins at the Utica hospital where she was taken a few weeks ago for medical treatment. Mrs. Filkins' death follows that of her husband in less than a month. Mr. Filkins' death took place October 20. Mrs. Filkins was 83 years of age and leaves a son, Ernest of this place; a granddaughter, Mrs. Carl Backus and three great-grandchildren. Her funeral was held Sunday at Pulaski.
