- Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday Evening, May 31, 1904 Rome Daily Sentinel - Williamstown, May 31 - Miss Zipporah Orton died at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon by taking an overdose of strychnine at her home in Williamstown. Miss Orton had been in poor health for over a year and had been taking strychnine as a remedy for nervousness and probably took an overdose by mistake. Her many friends were shocked to hear of her sudden death. She was highly esteemed by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. L. M. Ingerson, and a niece, Miss Nellie Ballister of this place; also two nephews, A. Ballister of Mt. Pleasant, Mich. and Frank Ballister of Neenah, Wis. The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon from her late home.
