- Newspaper Obituary - June 20, 1946 Pulaski Democrat - Richland Native Dies At Pulaski Home - Willis Henry Coon, 89, one of the older residents of this section, died Sunday night at his home in Rome st. He was born in Richland, Feb. 18, 1857, and had always made his home in this part of the county. As a young man he was a school teacher in district schools and at one time was principal of the Richland Union school. Later he conducted a store at Orwell and after that was a farmer, his last place before retirement having been in Kasoag. Survivng are his wife, Mrs. Delia Coon; one daughter, Mrs. Vera C. Potter, New York city; a son, Ivan Coon, Oswego; one brother, Frank A. Coon, Syracuse; one sister, Mrs. Louisa Chawgo, Pulaski RD; two grandchildren and a great grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Foster funeral home, Pulaski, at 2 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. James N. Pauley of the Pulaski Methodist church and burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Orwell.
