Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, December 3, 1963 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Mrs. Clara Brannon Thornhill, 84, wife of Webster Thornhill, died late Sunday night in Miami, Florida. Mrs. Thornhill was born May 6, 1879 in Flackville, St. Lawrence County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brannon. She was married on January 4, 1899 and with her husband resided most of her life in the Fernwood area where they owned farms. The couple retired several years ago and began spending their winters in Florida. She was a member of Fernwood Methodist church and the South Richland Grange. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Harlen A. Thornhill of Fernwood; a daughter, Mrs_ Gertrude Scott of North Miami Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Gardner of Lisbon and Mrs. Hattie Anson of Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Taylor funeral home, the Rev. Robert North, pastor of Fernwood Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in South Richland cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
