Notes - Vernon E. Wheeler, age 86, formerly of Pulaski, died September 23 in Yorktown Heights. He was born on May 28, 1920 in Ricard, the son of Harold and Marion Harris Wheeler. He attended Ricard and Altmar Schools and Houghton College. He married Gwendoline M. Tompkins on April 22, 1944. He served in the US Army Air Force from 1942 to 1945. He was employed by Franklin Chevrolet, APW and Pulaski Schools and Pulaski Sales and Service. He was a member of Ricard Grange, Ricard Methodist Church and Pulaski Wesleyan Church.
Surviving: His wife, Gwendoline; one daughter, Priscilla Marte both of Yorktown Heights, NY.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7 at Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.
