Rhoda H. Benson, 89, of 7384 Park St., died Sunday at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Pulaski Congregational Church. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to Pulaski Historical Society. Arrangements are with Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
Surviving are two sons, William H, Kensington, Calif., and James D., Toronto, Ontario, four grandchildren, a stepgranddaughter and two great-stepgrandchildren.
Born Oct. 23, 1905, in Vermillion, a daughter of D. Ward and Jennie Gothier Howard, she lived in Pulaski for 80 years.
She was a music teacher from 1927 to 1930 with the Pulaski and Norwood schools. Mrs. Benson was a 1922 graduate of Pulaski Academy High School and a 1925 Academy High school and a 1925 graduate of Syracuse University.
She married Dimon W. Benson Sept. 20, 1930, in Pulaski at her parents home on Broad Street with the Rev. John Warren officiating. Mr. benson died Nov. 22, 1990.
Mrs. Benson was a member of Pulaski First Congregational Church, the Pulaski Monday Club and the Pulaski Historical Society.
