- Newspaper Obituary - September 8, 1915 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell - William Waggoner - William Waggoner passed away, Tuesday, August 24, after an illness covering several months, aged 65 years and 4 months. He was married in 1878 to Louisa E. Bartlett, who survives him. There are also two brothers, John Waggoner, of Plessis, George Waggoner and one sister, Mrs. Charles Hilton. For many years he has been a member of Welcome Lodge No. 680, I.O.O.F. and at Orwell Grange No. 66. The funeral services were conducted in his late home Friday afternoon, August 27, by Rev. W. B. Clement and burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery.
Newspaper Obituary - September 2, 1915 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - William F. Waggoner - After a painful illness of about eight months, William F. Waggoner passed away at his home in the town of Orwell, August 24, 1915, aged 65 years, 4 months and one day. Mr. Waggoner was born in Herkimer County, near Ilion, and came when a small boy, with his parents to the farm in Orwell, where he has since resdided. He was married in 1878 to Louisa E. Bartlett, who survives him. There are also two brothers, John Waggoner of Jefferson County and George Waggoner, of Orwell, and one sister, Charles Hilton, of this town, besides numerous relatives of a younger generation living in various parts of the state. An honest and upright man and a good citizen, caring not for display, but devoted to his home life. He was a member of the Disciple Church and belonged to the Orwell Grange and Welcome Lodge No. 680. I.O.O.F. Funeral services were held at his home Friday and burial made in Evergreen Cemetery.
