- LEOTA E. VALLEY, ADAMS NATIVE, DIES AT 77

Leota E. Valley, 77, of 28 Crystal Drive, Dryden, formerly of Adams, died Thursday at Cortland Nursing Home.
A private funeral will be Tuesday at the Perkins Funeral Home, Dryden. Burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
There will be no calling hours.
Surviving are a son, Jerry S., McKean, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. James (Joyce A.) Patterson, Hopewell Junction; four grandchildren, a great-grandson and several nephews and nieces.
Born in Adams on March 1, 1916, a daughter of Henry and Bessie Hughes Spencer, she attended Pulaski Academy. She married J. Richard Valley on Nov. 17, 1934, at the Methodist Episcopal Parsonage, Fernwood, with the Rev. George Butler officiating. Mr. Valley died Dec. 7, 1992.
Mrs. Kelley was employed with Regal Paper Co., Pulaski, before her marriage.
She was member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Dryden Volunteer Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary.
A native of Adams, she had been a resident of Dryden since 1940.
