Adelia M. Clemons, 69, of Van Auken Road died Friday at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown.
Born in Texas, N.Y., Mrs. Clemons graduated from Sandy Creek Central School and the Salisbury State Teachers Collage.
Her husband, the Rev. Gilbert Clemons, is a former minister for the Wesleyan Church. The Clemonses served in Maryland, Delaware, and Bakers Mills, N.Y. They moved to Lacona in 1982 after her husband retired from the ministry.
Mrs. Clemons taught piano lessons for many years. She was a member of the Sandy Creek Wesleyan Church and taught Sunday school.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, David of Lacona; two daughters, Martha Ammerman and Julia Allen, both of Glens Falls; two sisters, Margaret Chase of Lacona and Faith Buettner of North Chili; four brothers, Chester Rudd of Westwood, Floyd and Franklin Rudd, both of Lacona, and Jonathan Rudd of Lowville; two grandchildren; one foster grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pulaski Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in North Boylston Cemetery in Lacona.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.
