Emma R. Smith, 86, County Route 48, widow of Floyd C. Smith, died Thursday morning at the Samaritan-Keep Nursing Home, Watertown, where she had been a resident since 1986.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Virgil H. Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Dugway.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 7385 Park St.
Surviving are a son, Floyd G., Lacona; two daughters, Ella Jennings and Lorretta Look, both of Richland; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Fern Smith, Pulaski, Cora Maitland, Mexico, and Frida Akins, Wolcott; nieces and nephews.
A son, Howard Smith, died in 1983.
Born in Daysville on Oct. 12, 1903, a daughter of George and Elnora Richardson Mason, she attended schools in the Town of Richland.
She married Floyd C. Smith July 1, 1922, in Parish.
The couple had resided in Richland since 1940, where Mr. Smith worked as a farmer and carpenter. A native of Scranton, Pa., Mr. Smith died in December 1971, at the age of 71.
