- ROSE RUDD, LACONA, IS DEAD AT AGE OF 91

Rose Rudd, 91, Nemier Road, died Thursday evening at the Samaritan-Keep Home, Watertown, after a long illness.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pilgrim Holiness Church, Pierrepont Manor, with Rev. Warren Babcock, Rev. Edward LeCates, and Rev. David S. Rudd officiating. Burial will be in North Boylston Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 pm. Sunday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Contributions may be made to the World Missionary Press, in care of Franklin Rudd, Lacona.
Surviving are four sons, Chester D., Westwood, N.J.; Jonathan J., Lowville; Floyd R. and Franklin B., both of Lacona; three daughters, Adelia M. Clemons and Margaret R. Chase, both of Lacona, and Faith A. Buettner, North Chili; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Born on Oct. 16, 1896, in Sobotka, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Franklin and Antonia Caha Janacek, she attended schools in Armour, S.D. She moved to the Town of Orwell in 1916. She was married to Bertrand E. Rudd in 1918. He died in 1971.
Rev. Mr. Rudd was pastor of several Wesleyan Methodist churches in central New York until 1936, when the couple moved to Boylston. They owned and operated a farm on Neimier Road for the past 50 years.
Mrs. Rudd was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church, Pierrepont Manor.
