Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, November 14, 1968 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Andrew Rossman Dies in California ¬Andrew W. Rossman, for many years a resident of Pulaski, and for 66 years active in the barbering business, died on Saturday, November 9 at Pomona, California, at the age of 96. Mr. Rossman was born September 14, 1872 at Weedsport, the son of John and Harriet Clark Rossman. He attended school there, and played semi-pro ball for the Weedsport and Auburn baseball teams for a few years. He then opened a barber shop in Pulaski in 1918. He owned and operated his own shop here until 1952 when he moved to California He was a member of the Park United Methodist Church. His first wife, Pauline Zeppi died in 1912. He later married Ida Smith, who died in 1950. Surviving Mr. Rossman are his son, Reynold Rossman of Pulaski; a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Marvel) Monier of Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Mary Young of Huntington Park, California; a brother, Claude Rosman; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday, November 15) at 1 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nelson R. Reppert officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Friends may call today (Thursday) from 7 until 9 o'clock.
