Jay L. Terry, 60, of 3414 Maple Ave., died Monday at his home.
Mr. Terry was employed by Ryder Transportation, Liverpool, and Sprague Energy, Oswego. He also owned and operated Hook's Garage.
Born May 3, 1941, in Bainbridge, son of Lee and Kathleen Thompson Terry, he attended Afton High School and was a veteran of the Army. He had lived in Pulaski since 1974.
He married Delores Davis on July 4, 1979.
Mr. Terry was a member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7829.
Surviving besides his wife are his father of Bainbridge; six daughters, Corolla Quackenbush and Claudia Higby, both of Pulaski, Sylvia Denny, Richland, Brenda Peterson, Mexico, Liz Detwiler, Sandy Pond, and Penny Peterson, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a son, Robert, Pulaski; three sisters, Kathy Rohrbaugh, Sterling, Va., Doris Bamford, New York state, and Lisa Terry, Unadilla; a brother, Donald Lee, Tucson, Ariz., and 20 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born in Bainbridge, he lived in Afton before moving to Pulaski in 1974. He attended Afton High School. He worked for Ryder Transportation in Liverpool, Sprague Energy in Oswego and Hook's Garage in Pulaski. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358, Pulaski, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289, Pulaski.
