    • Newspaper Obituary - March 07, 1979 Pulaski Democrat - Barbara J. Howlett, age 33, of 7433 Maple Ave., Pulaski, died Sun., March 4, at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse. Born April 27, 1945 in Honolulu, Hawaii, She was the daughter of August and Wilhelminia Samilar Reel. She graduated from Alameda California High School and married Carl A. Howlett, August 21, 1969. They resided in California until 1974 when they moved to Pulaski where they owned and operated the Kallet Theater and Bobbi’s Craft Shop. She is survived by her husband, Carl; one daughter, Darlene Ellis; one son, Roy Ellis, all of Pulaski; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Reel; her brothers, August Reel, Jr. and Russell Reel, all of Alameda, California; one sister, Mrs. Susan Coker of Castro Valley, California. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wed., March 7, at Foster Hax Funeral Home, Rev. Kenneth E. Hardy officiating. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours are on Tues. 2-4 p.m. and 7- p.m. Donations may be made to the Central New York State Kidney Foundation or Bobbi’s Trust Fund.
