William G. Murray, 80, most recently of 2293 Route 104, Maple View, died Saturday at Seneca Hill Manor Nursing Facility, Oswego.
Mr. Murray was employed by the state Department of Transportation and DeLong Trucking, Mexico, before his retirement in 1981.
Born Sept. 29, 1919, in Worth, son of Walter and Eva Youngs Murray, he attended Pulaski schools.
He had been a member of the Civil Defense Program.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Dumas; two daughters, Susanne Breezee and Jeanine Crandall, both of Mexico; two sons, Donald and Dean, both of Mexico; a stepson, Robert Nichols, Mexico; four sisters, Beatrice Southworth, Munnsville, Almeda Farman, Woodville, and Nancy Berry and Esther White, both of Adams; three brothers, Max, Surprise, Ariz., Theodore, Adams, and Douglas, Palm Harbor, Fla.; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple View Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
