Son of Raymond and Florence Ann Ottoway Haynes. Husband of Ruth E. McCann (divorced) & Pauline Haynes. [Note: Ruth McCann, married to Charles Elser; Ruth died in June 1970 at Farmingdale, New York, and is buried in Rest Haven Cemetery at Phelps, New York.]
Newspaper Obituary - Friday, August 13, 2004 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Donald R. Haynes Operated Upholstery Shop ¬Donald R. Haynes, 89, Route 69, Parish, formerly of Pulaski, died Wednesday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Syracuse. Mr. Haynes owned and operated Don's Custom Upholstery Shop for 20 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289 and had resided in Parish since 1996. Born May 5, 1915, in West Eaton, son of Raymond and Flora Ottoway Haynes, he attended Syracuse schools and served in the Army Air Forces during World War II, A marriage ended in divorce. Surviving are five sons, Donald R. Jr., Parish, Charles W., Altmar, Douglas, Pulaski, Darwin, Long Island, and Paul, Chittenango; a brother, Dale, Hastings, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Riverside Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.
