Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 6, 1977 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Miss Edith I. Ripsom, 84, of Springbrook Apartments, died Tuesday night in the Pontiac Nursing Home, Oswego. Miss Ripsom was born June 12, 1893 in Town of Mexico, daughter of Alburtis and Helen Richardson Ripsom. A graduate of Mexico Academy High School, she taught in township schools there two years before moving to Washington, D. C., where she was, for 30 years, an investigator with the U. S. Civil Service Commission, retiring in 1948 and moving to Pulaski. She was a member of North Mexico United Methodist Church and the U. S. Civil Service Commission Board of Retirement. Surviving besides several cousins, is her brother-in-law, Frank B. Krick of Pulaski. Services at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home will be 1 p.m. Friday, the Rev. Walter N. Ames of North Mexico United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. only at the funeral home.
