Harry R. Trumble, 89, of 1682 Route 13, died Tuesday in St. Luke's Nursing Home, Oswego.
Mr. Trumble was employed by the state Department of Environmental Conservation for 26 years, retiring in 1980. He was also employed by New York Central Railroad, Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. and town of Albion Animal Control.
He was a member of the New York State Trappers Association.
Born Sept. 27, 1914, in Altmar, son of William S. and Harriett M. Waite Trumble, he attended Burdick District Schools.
A lifelong resident of Altmar, he married Norma E. Thompson on May 2, 1937, in Altmar at his parents' home with the Rev. Henry Holley officiating.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Paul, Redfield; a daughter, Irene Pappa, Pulaski; a sister, Gladys Trumble, Altmar; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Paul Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
