Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 27, 2008 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Carolyn A. Pugh, 57, Syracuse, formerly of Pulaski, died of cardiac arrest Saturday at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. Mrs. Pugh had resided for the past 35 years in Syracuse, where she was employed by James Square Nursing Home for many years. She also was a home health aide for several years. Born November 19, 1950, in Watertown, she was a daughter of Archie and Anita Gerdon Whaley and graduated in 1969 from Pulaski High School. She married David Pugh on April 24, 1993. Mrs. Pugh was a member of Buckley Road Baptist Church, Liverpool, and McCarthy Night Watch, a neighborhood watch group. Surviving besides her husband, are her mother, of Twin Falls, Idaho; two brothers: William Whaley, Marysville, Ohio, and John Whaley, Wendover, Utah, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
