Quentin O. Gerdon, 78, Porterville, Calif., formerly of Copenhagen, died Monday in Fresno, Calif.
Mr. Gerdon was a retired painter.
Born March 7, 1921, in Pulaski, son of Tracy and Grace Tilkins Gerdon, he lived in Copenhagen before moving to California.
A marriage to Pauline Ramsey ended in divorce.
Surviving are three sons, Tracy, of Fargo, and Paul and David, both of Copenhagen; four daughters, Diana Gerdon, Wasco, Calif., Mrs. Maurice (Jane) Doyle, Martinsburg, W.Va., Mrs. Dennis (Dorene) Kula, Waterville, Maine, and Mrs. James (Patricia) Martineau, Winchendon, Mass.; five brothers, Winton, Hemet, Calif., Charles, Melbourne, Fla., Lester, Brea, Calif., and Grover and James, both of Twin Falls, Idaho; four sisters, Juanita Nicholson and Anita Rydalch, both of Twin Falls, Shirley Barnard, Brea, and Issabelle Beidelman, Sedro-Woolley, Wash., 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Lewis and Warren, and a grandson died before him.
The body was cremated. Arrangements are with the Cremation Society of Central California, Fresno.
