Julia I. Howard

Julia I. Howard, age 91, resident of Pulaski and Orwell for most of her life, passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Julia was born February 10, 1924 in Orwell, the daughter of Joseph and Cecil Blodgett Hutchins. She graduated from Pulaski High School. Julia, a single parent, worked hard to provide for her two sons, she work-ed six days a week for many years at the Log Cabin Restaurant and Seeley's Restaurant in Pulaski. She spent most of her working life in the heart of the snow-belt, and even through difficult times she would never concede, always putting her family first. Following a well deserved retirement, she spent time traveling, relaxing and enjoying life with her many friends and family.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph (Terri) Howard and Brian (Pamela) Howard, both of Pulaski; two sisters, Lilly (Bob) Franklin and Ruby "Robin" Woolson, both of Pulaski; six grandchildren, Ashley, Billy, Matt, Andrew, Joey and Alex; two great-grandchildren, Harrison and Willa. Julia was predeceased by one brother, Fred Hutchins and two sisters, Norma Hutchins and Frieda Kaul.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
