- Elmer D. Last, 68, of 595 Hadley Road died Wednesday at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton.
A native of Altmar, Mr. Last also had lived in Richland before moving to Sandy Creek in 1984. He retired in 1977 after 20 years with Carrier Corp., Syracuse, and previously was employed several years with Cyclotherm Inc., Oswego.
Mr. Last was a life member of Oswego Valley Post 106, American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth A.; a son, Nelson W. of Altmar; eight daughters, Sue McNitt and Eola Walker, both of Williamstown, Linda Durgan of Altmar, Nancy Goodman of Nazareth, Pa., Elma Campbell of Syracuse, and Vesta Hathaway, Brenda Cody and Vanetta Knopp, all of Marion, N.C.; two sisters, Amy Trumble of Central Square and Mae Jessmore of Florida; 37 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 52 Park St.
