Charles J. Bailey Sr. 84, Route 11 South, died Monday at 9:30 p.m. at his home where he had been under the care of Oswego County Hospice.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, officiating. Spring burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Morristown.
There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to Oswego County Hospice, c/o H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse, Pulaski, N.Y. 13142.
Surviving are three sons, Gary O., Syracuse, Charles G. and Robert A., both of Pulaski; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
two sisters and one brother died previously.
He was born May 10, 1909, in Morristown, a son of Charles and Margaret Hicks Bailey. He attended Morristown schools. He had been a resident of Pulaski since 1950.
A marriage ended in divorce. Mr. Bailey was a school bus driver for Pulaski Academy and Central School and also a custodian at the Pulaski Courthouse. He retired in 1975.
