Florence Mae Yerdon, 80, of 27 Academy St., died Tuesday at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown.
Mrs. Yerdon lived in Greenboro before returning to Sandy Creek in 1957. She retired in 1973 after 15 years as a cafeteria worker for the Sandy Creek School District. She and her husband owned a dairy farm. She formerly was employed at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown.
She was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
Born July 26, 1917, at Sandy Creek, daughter of Richard and Alta Stinson White, she attended Sandy Creek schools. She married Earl L. Yerdon on Nov. 28, 1936. He died Jan. 23, 1997.
Surviving are a son, Harwood "Satch," Sunrise, Fla.; two daughters, Lorraine M. Rohrmoser, Sandy Creek, and Denise M. McDonald, Beverly Hills, Mich.; 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., with the Rev. David Balcom officiating. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Lacona.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Florence was a cafeteria worker for the Sandy Creek School District from 1958-1973. She had earlier worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Watertown, NY. She was a member of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
