Dorothea M. Blodgett, 83, Orwell, died Friday at her home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Thomas Howell, Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 this evening and 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Harold W.; two sons, Elvin D., Cleveland, and Duane R., Orwell; two daughters, Betty D. Martin, Orwell, and Nancy L. Trust, Pulaski; a sister, Blandine Day, St. Petersburg, Fla.; 22 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Born March 23, 1908, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., daughter of Loren and Maude Maynard Butts, she attended Orwell schools and married Harold W. Blodgett July 11, 1925.
She worked at General Electric for 17 years, retiring in 1968. She was a lifetime member of the Orwell Methodist Church, a charter member of the Orwell Methodist Church Dalk class, a member and past matron of Pulaski Chapter 159, Order of the Eastern Star, a member and a past district deputy of the Mexico Silvercrest Rebekah Lodge and a charter member of the Halfshire Historical Society, Richland.
