Verna R. Cummins, 87, of County Route 66 died Wednesday at Oswego Hospital.
A native of Fulton, Mrs. Cummins was a life resident of the Martville-Hannibal area. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Francis Tallman, who died in 1929, and Milton D. Cummins, who died in 1963.
Surviving are seven sons, Francis Tallman of Potsdam, Edward Tallman and Duane and Joseph Cummins, all of Martville, Richard Cummins of Bremen, Ky., Norman Cummins of Cato and Charles Cummins of Sterling; eight daughters, Mary Debane and Dorothy Durfey, both of Oswego, Isabelle Combes of Martville, Diane Cosser of Bradenton, Fla., Barbara Tuft of Scipio Center, Esther Post of Cato, Phyllis Cummins of Syracuse and Norma Howard of Brewerton; 56 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Jewell Funeral Home, Cato. Spring burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal.
