- Mrs, Dundon, Richland Native Dies in Hospital
The funeral of Mrs. Millie E. Dundon, 78, was held Tuesday morning from the Wilcox and McCallen funeral home, Watertown, and St. Patrick's church, with burial following in Brookside cemetery.
Mrs. Dundon died early Sunday morning, Sept. 22, 1963 at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where she underwent major surgery Aug. 20 but failed to make a satisfactory recovery.
Born in Richland Nov. 5, 1884, she was the daughter of Ephraim and Emma Frost Fox. She attended school in the Richland area and was married on Nov. 10, 1902 at Richland to Philip S. Baxter of Watertown where they made their home, and where she has resided for 60 years. Following her husband's death on Feb. 26, 1919, she made her home with her sister-in-law, Mrs. David Fawdry and Dr. Fawdry until her marriage on June 2, 1932 to Leo J. Dundon of Watertown. Mr. Dundon died Oct. 11, 1961.
Mrs. Dundon was a member of Holy Family church, Watertown, and later attended St. Patrick's church where she was a member of its Altar and Rosary society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John P. (Elizabeth A. Baxter) Bushnell of Watertown and Mrs. Robert H. (Emma H. Baxter) Dundon McGraw of Skaneateles; a sister, Mrs. Claude (Olyva) Wyman of Ontario Bay; and by four grandchildren, Mrs. Ronald (Suzanne S. Bushnell) Kingsley, Kent, O., Mary F. Bushnell and John P. Bushnell of Watertown, and David F. Dundon, Glendale, Calif., and six greatgrandchildren.
