Notes - Born in Kaliwog, NY, in the southern tier of the state. She was the daughter of Rev. Delos C. Haven and his wife, Hattie Thompson Haven, and when she was 13 moved with her family to Lacona, where she spent the greater part of her life.
In 1898 she married Eugene M. Hastings, who was the principal of the Williamstown school at the time.
