Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 29, 1930 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Mary E. Burdick Dies At Home of Son - The death of Mrs. Mary E. Burdick, widow of Brayton D. Burdick, occurred at the home of her son, Jesse D. Burdick, about six miles south of Pulaski last Friday. This had been the home of Mrs. Burdick since her marriage on April 21, 1868. Mrs. Burdick was born February 3, 1847, at Fernwood, which was then known as Holmesville. Her parents were the late William G. and Harriet Tubbs Perry. She attended the school at Fernwood and also Mexico Academy. She was an active member of the Fernwood Baptist church practically her whole life. She was the oldest member of the church at the time of her death, having served as deaconess for the past 16 years. Mrs. Burdick was a charter member of the Albion Center Grange. She is survived by one son, Jesse, with whom she made her home. The late Dr. Frank Burdick of Providence, Rhode Island, who died December 26, 1927, was another son. She leaves one sister, Mrs. Adell Dunbar of Fernwood. The funeral was held in the Fernwood Baptist church January 27 at 1:30 o'clock, with Rev. George Leitka officiating. Burial in Willis cemetery.
