- Mary J. Weed - 1815 - March 19, 1905. Wife of John Parker Weed.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 29, 1905 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - North Mexico, March 27, 1905 ¬Sunday, March 19, occurred the death of one of the oldest residents of North Mexico, Mrs. Mary Weed, aged 89 years. She had been in failing health for several years, being cared for by her daughters, Floretta Dawley and Mrs. Mary DeWolf. She will also be missed in the church where she was to be found at every service as long as health would permit. The roads were so bad Tuesday, March 21st, the day set for Mrs. Weed's funeral, that teams could not go over them, and it was impossible to have a funeral. The undertaker's team came as far as Jesse Dyke's corners, and the neighbors drew the sleigh containing the casket from the home to that place. The remains were placed in the receiving vault at Mexico, and funeral services will be held later.
