      Laura Mae Skellington, aged 90, life resident of Williamstown, passed away Friday at Rome City Hospital. Laura Mae was born July 11, 1924 in Williamstown, the daughter of Charles and Nettie Wafful Wheeler. She graduated from Williamstown School in 1942. Laura Mae was married to Richard E. Skellington on August 20, 1942. He passed away February 15, 1999. She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm for 35 years. She was a member of Williamstown Election Board for more than 30 years.
      Surviving are one daughter, Bonnie Skellington of Rome, two sons, Richard C. Skellington and Keith C. Skellington both of Williamstown, one foster-son James Hazelwood of Oswego, one brother Charles (Phoebe) Wheeler of Pulaski, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and seven great- great grandchildren. Laura Mae was predeceased by a son, Larry, who passed away in 2007 and a daughter, Linda Merritt who passed away in 2011.
