- Mrs. Katherine Tifft Weed, widow of the late Valmore Weed, died at 7 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of her nephew, John Allport, at Selkirk. She had been ill three weeks, although in poor health for about three years. She was born September 25, 1856.
She was twice married. Her first husband was William Kiblin. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Sandy Creek and was active in the church works.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. A. E. Allport, of Selkirk; two nieces, Mrs. Cliffort Sherman and Mrs. Walter Sherman, both of Mexico; and a nephew, John W. Allport.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Rev. John Warren officiating, with burial at Sandy Creek.
Miss Katherine A. Tifft married Mr. William Kiblin at the home of Mr. Lucius Jones, Pulaski, N.Y., on April 2, 1894, by Rev. A. D. Webster, all of the town of Richland, Oswego county, N.Y.
