      Newspaper Obituary - August 22 1894 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Thursday morning, August 16, Jesus called home Grace, the eldest and dearly loved daughter of Adelbert and Josie Pond. For 17 years and 4 months she had gladdened their home, for Grace was one whom all loved. Consumption fastened itself upon her about a year and a half ago, but it had been only two weeks since she took to her bed. She had known for a long time she could not live, and was ready to go, trusting her Savior so fully and urging her friends and schoolmates to meet her in heaven. She passed away very quietly. The funeral was held Saturday at the house. The remains were placed in a white casket and nearly covered with flowers. She leaves a father, mother, three brothers and one sister to mourn for her loss.
