      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 2, 1975 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Unadilla - Delizon Waite, 85, of Unadilla RD 1, died Wednesday at Sidney Hospital, where he had been a patient for one week. Born September 13, 1889, Mr. Waite was a resident of the town of Richland for most of his life. He operated a farm for 41 years. A Methodist, Mr. Waite was a sexton and caretaker of the Mexico Presbyterian Church. In 1867 Mr. Waite and his wife, the late Inez Manwaring moved to Florida. Mr. Waite returned north last October due to illness, and made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Elsie Stewart of Unadilla. He was the son of Luke and Aulissa Sherman Waite. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Elsie M. Stewart of Unadilla, with whom he lived, Mrs. Luella Cater of Poughkeepsie and Mrs. Norma J. Brunton of Versailies, Indiana; a sister, Mrs. Nila Calkins; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home, Mexico. Mr. Waite's son-in-law, the Rev. D. Max Brunton, will officiate. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery, Richland. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
