      Newspaper Obituary - Friday, May 31, 2002 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Pulaski - Barbara Brown, 62, of 102 North Fernwood Road, died Thursday at her home. Born June 3, 1939, in Syracuse, daughter of John and Anne Mickelenko Simms, she attended Eastwood High School, East Syracuse. She lived in North Syracuse before moving to Pulaski 31 years ago. She married Thomas J. Brown on September 7, 1957. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Auxiliary to Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358, where she ran the kitchen for many years. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Terry J. and Theodore A., both of Pulaski; two daughters, Karen A. Dunn, Anchorage, Alaska, and Kelly M. Brown, Altmar; two granddaughters whom she raised, Amanda S. and Cathy L. Brown; two brothers, John Simms, Brewerton, and James Simms, Syracuse, and two other granddaughters_ Two sons died before her, Timothy P. in 1993 and Michael in 1959. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Church with the Rev. John F. Hogan officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Oswego County Hospice, P.O. Box 102, Oswego, New York 13126.
