Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 12, 1882 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Obituary - Mr. Henry B. Ashman departed this life January 1, 1882, at his residence in Richland, after a brief sickness of one week, in which he was a great sufferer, aged 48 years. The subject of this sketch experienced religion about four years ago, and united with the Methodist Protestant Church of Sand Bank Station, Richland class, August 21st, 1878, and was an active member until his death. Bro. Ashman was a good husband, a kind father, a good neighbor and a true Christian, and in his last hours, said: "The Lord doeth all things well." May the Lord bless the afflicted family in this, their hour of bereavement. The funeral services were held in the church at Richland Station the 3d inst., Rev. W. D. Snyder officiating. Text, Heb. 11:16. Far from affliction, toll and care, the happy soul is fled. Card of Thanks - We, the undersigned, desire to tender our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the friends who so willingly assisted us in our affliction and the death and burial of our husband and father, Henry B.
