      Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, June 10, 1986 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Florence I. LaPoint, 66, of Patrick Drive, RD 1 Pulaski, died suddenly Monday afternoon at her home. Mrs. LaPoint was born June 11, 1919 in Mexico, New York, and she was the daughter of Charles and Grace (Sherman) Partrick. She was a graduate of Elizabeth High School, Elizabeth, New Jersey, and also of Russell Sage College, Troy, New York, class of 1941. After graduation, Mrs. LaPoint taught home economics in the Manlius School System until 1943. She then married Robert F. LaPoint on March 30, 1943. Mr. LaPoint served in the U. S. Army and retired in 1960 as lieutenant colonel. They came to Pulaski to reside in 1968 and since that time have owned and operated Chedmardo Camp Grounds on Lake Ontario. Surviving are her husband, Lt. Col. Robert F. LaPoint, US Army Retired; two sons, Charles D. LaPoint and Donald J. LaPoint, both of Pulaski; one daughter, Mary Lou LaPoint of Pulaski; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Minor of Punta Gorda, Florida and Mrs. Grace Roop of Central Square. A son, Edward R. LaPoint, died April 9, 1973 as a result of an automobile accident in Onondaga County. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Foster-flax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Virgil H. Hager, pastor of Sandy Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 7385 Park Street, Pulaski.
