Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 14, 1949 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Jessie Reese Cole Dies Following Illness - Mrs. Jessie Reese Cole, 61, widow of Norman Cole, died at her home in the Lehigh district late Sunday afternoon following a short illness. Funeral services were held from the Taylor funeral home in North Jefferson Street Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. James N. Pauley, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was made in the Riverside cemetery. Surviving are three sons, Lyle Cole of Mexico; Norman and Rodney Cole of Pulaski; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Avery Sharp of Texas and a half brother, James Middleton, Pulaski. Mrs. Cole was born in the town of Sandy Creek April 23, 1887, the daughter of Walter and Lillian Watkins Reese. She came to the town of Richland at the age of one year, and had lived in the Lehigh district for the past 60 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Cole on August 8, 1902, and had lived at her present home since her marriage. Mr. Cole died in December, 1939. She was an attendant of the Christian Science church in Syracuse, and a member of South Richlnad grange.
