      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, February 8, 1922 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Garry H. Tift was born May 27, 1853 at Selkirk, where he passed the greater part of his life. He had been sick with heart trouble for about two weeks and was apparently getting better. Friday afternoon he was suddenly taken worse and passed quietly away January 30th. He was a fisherman and for several years past conducted a grocery store at Selkirk. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Weed and Mrs. A. E. Allport; also one nephew, John W. Allport and two nieces, Mrs. Clifford Sherman and Mrs. Walter Sherman. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon. The I. O. O. F. burial service was conducted by Pulaski Odd Fellows Lodge, of which Mr. Tifft was a member. Burial at Daysville cemetery.
