    • Charles R. Crandall, 80, Sandy Creek, Stricken

      Charles R. Crandall, 80, died at the Good Samaritan hospital in Watertown Wednesday morning after a short illness. He was stricken with coronary thrombosis Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles B. Hogan, Sandy Creek, and removed to the Watertown hospital, where he failed to recover.

      Funeral services will be held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hogan in Sandy Creek, Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be made in Woodlawn cemetery, Sandy Creek.

      Mr. Crandall was born March 21, 1867, in Sandy Creek, the son of Ellery and Eliza Litts Crandall. He spent most of his early life in Sandy Creek, after which he went to Pennsylvania where he lived about 20 years. He returned to Sandy Creek about three years ago, and since that time has made his home with his daughter.

      On July 2, 1891 he was united in marriage to Miss Nora Harding, who died in 1916. To this union four children were born, two of whom survive.

      Mr. Crandall is the father of Rex E. Crandall of this village, and of Mrs. Charles B. Hogan of Sandy Creek. A sister, Mrs. Anna Jennings, widow of the late Jotham Jennings, and one grandson, Donald F. Crandall, both of this village, also survive him.
