    • Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, August 20, 2002 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - William S. Guthrie, 81, of 332 Ellisburg St., Sandy Creek, died Sunday. Born in Pulaski, he lived most of his life there. He graduated in 1939 from Pulaski High School. He retired in 1984 from Fay's Drug distribution center in Liverpool after 15 years. He had also worked at Potts Drug Store for many years and Walker's Cleaners. He was a member of Robert Edward American Legion Post 358 in Pulaski and an honorary member of NEOSCO Horseshoe Club in Pulaski. He was an Army Signal Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors: His wife of 60 years, the former Bessie Rodgers; two daughters, Nancy G. Wilder of Germantown, Md., and Janet G. Rossman of Pulaski; a sister, Julia Stevens of Pulaski; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial, Pulaski Cemetery.
