Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, February 27, 1918 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Fernwood - On Sunday evening, February 16, occurred the death of Mrs. Rose Erskine after a number of weeks of illness and suffering. Mrs. Erskine was a sister of Mrs. I. J. Rich and was a very worthy lade, respected and loved by all who knew her and her home had been in Fernwood all her married life. Three children are left to miss and mourn the gentle loving quiet mother, Mrs. W. Lonas of Fulton, Mrs. Curtis Baldwin of North Mexico and a son, Mr. George Erskine of Fernwood. The children were with the mother through her illness and nothing was omitted to make her last hours comfortable. Although the day and going were very bad on which her funeral occurred many friends and neighbors gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to her who had so long lived among us. Interment was made in Willis cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. T. J. Williams.
