Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, July 12, 1992 Syracuse Herald American - Syracuse, New York - Roy Chapman, 86, formerly of Church Street, North Syracuse, died Thursday in Van Duyn Home and Hospital. Born in Ontario, Canada, he lived in Syracuse most of his life. He was employed for 25 years with Carrier Corp., retiring in 1971. Mr. Chapman was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Syracuse. Surviving are one son, Wendell of Brewerton; and two grandchildren, Charles Chapman of Clay and Kathy Woodbury of Rochester; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services were 11 a.m. Saturday in Richland Cemetery. Arrangements are with Sears-Middleton Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, North Syracuse.
