Newspaper Obituary - Friday Evening, November 23, 1956 Rome Daily Sentinel - Rome, New York - L. C. Nelson, 89, Dies in Camden - Camden ¬Lucius C. Nelson, 89, died Wednesday at the George Nursing Home here. The son of David H. and Pauline Cole Nelson, he was born September 17, 1867 in Millers Mills, and on September 17, 1890 married the former Martha E. Wafful in Orwell. She died in April 1950. Mr. Nelson worked for the Railway Express on the New York Central for 32 years, retiring about 20 years ago. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks, the Maccabees and the First Methodist Church of Camden. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. V. M. Scramuzza, New Orleans, and Mrs. Earnest Graham, Camden; four grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the B. A. Sanbom and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Allison C. Wood, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial in Richland cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience.
